Human beings live on Earth. Based on their overall energetic state they radiate energies that contribute in either a positive or negative way to the overall condition of the Earth. The Earth herself has energies that form the energetic environment we live in. We actually live in a sea of energies and most of us have lost the ability to be aware of these energies and how they can support us if we know how to connect with them.
Indigenous people have tried to maintain their connection with the Earth. They are aware of the fact that we are an inherent part of the Earth. They know that everything we do to the Earth we actually do to ourselves. We are finally beginning to realize the truth of that. We have polluted our environment and begin to realize that consequently we are polluting ourselves. An example is the heavy metals that we have brought into our environment that we now find inside of ourselves.
It is difficult for us to heal ourselves when we live in an environment that no longer supports us. Increasingly we create an environment that is disruptive for us in many ways. Because we have forgotten the fulness of who we are, we also are insufficiently aware that we have created an environment that no longer supports us as it is supposed to be. We need enough contact with the Earth to heal and balance ourselves. Therefore it is important that we clean the mess we have created on Earth. This will create a new balance that allows us to feel that we are one with our Mother and all beings on her.
The Lakota Sioux say "Mitakuye Oyasin", which means "All My Relations." It is a prayer of oneness and harmony with all forms of life: other people, animals, birds, insects, trees and plants, and even rocks. It reminds us that we are connected with all other aspects of Creation. At Lemurantis we believe that it is important to fully understand the meaning of this prayer. It may help us to reconnect.
