Human Energies

Human beings are far more complex than science wants us to believe. From a medical and biological perspective we are a complex system of chemistry and physics that is "alive' in a way that science can not explain. From our perspective the human system has, besides the energies connected to the physical system (electromagnetic energies), also subtle energies. These subtle energies are described in the Introduction to subtle energies.

Besides an energy system there also is consciousness and awareness. Our awareness is highly determined by what we believe; the belief system we have built up during our life. These belief systems are part of what we call "the mind": the total summation of all that we have experienced in our life. In general the mind dictates the life of people. This is unfortunate because the mind is largely influenced by the brain's function of "survival": how to function in this world.Therefore the mind is often mainly focused on the physical aspects of our lives.

When we start on our spiritual journey we have to look at our belief structures and how these beliefs have affected the way we stand in life. We need to look at our fears, worries, at our anger, sadness and all aspects that have been induced by events in the past. We need to learn that life is not determined by the past but by the choices we make in each now moment.

All emotions that are not based on love have an effect on our energy systems that is not supportive: these emotions create an unbalanced system that can lead to discomfort and dis-ease and shorten out lives. In addition these emotions block our spiritual development. Therefore it is important to heal and balance our system to move from duality to Oneness.
